This Week at Placentino – October 21 – October 25

This is going to be a very busy week at Placentino!

On Tuesday and Wednesday our Grade Two students will be out on the Native American Trail!  The children have been busy preparing for this exciting Grade Two experience.  Thank-you to our teachers and parent volunteers for helping to make this yearly event such a success.

Placentino students LOVE to read!  The HEPTSA Fall Book Fair is coming to Miller School on Wednesday and Thursday this week.  The Book Fair provides an opportunity for families to choose some great books to read with their students at home, and it’s also a terrific fund-raiser for our schools.  Please check Back Pack Express for more information and details.

Halloween is next Thursday, October 31st.  Families of PreK and Kindergarten students are invited to join us for the annual Pumpkin Parade and Singalong!  Details and the times for your child’s class should have come home to you directly from your child’s classroom teacher.  We’re hoping for great weather so that we can “parade” outside and present our “singalong” in the Courtyard.

Looking ahead…

On Monday evening, November 4th, at 7:00 in the Placentino Cafeteria, there will an informative meeting to discuss publicly funded tuition-free Full Day Kindergarten for all students.  The agenda for the meeting will include:  A brief overview of current Kindergarten Programming in Holliston;  Full Day Kindergarten Facts and Information;  a summary of Full Day Kindergarten Survey results; and a general question and answer period.  Anyone is welcome to join us for this informative and important meeting.

Half-day conferences for Grades One, Two and Montessori 6-8 will be held on November 6th, 7th and 12th.  These will be  early dismissal days (11:50) for children in these grades.  Please note that it is a regular school day for PreK and K children.

Have a great week!
