Today at Placentino!

We had an “All-School Valentine’s Day/100th Day Assembly” today!  What fun!

We talked about how the letter “A” in our special word CARE stands for ACCEPTANCE or “Being kind to everyone.”  Valentine’s Day hearts remind us of acceptance and kindness towards all.

Peppy the Penguin joined us, as we all said the Pledge of Allegiance together and recited the CARE pledge together.  Mrs. Merten’s class sang the “C-A-R-E Song,” I read the story, 100th Day Worries, to the children, and we counted to 100 by giving Mrs. Stewart 99 chocolate candy kisses and 1 bunch of “healthy” carrots to equal 100!  Everyone had a very fun time!  Happy Valentine’s Day to all!  Mrs. Weene
