This Week at Placentino: January 14 – 18

The “Word of the Week” this week is kindness.  During Monday Morning announcements I quickly reviewed CARE with the children – reminding them what each letter stands for and that the letter “A” in CARE stands for Acceptance – Being kind to everyone.

Following the CARE rules, using polite words and doing  “acts of kindness” such as helping a friend or holding the door for a teacher can be seen everywhere at Placentino.  I am so proud of our students and the way that they show me how they CARE each and every day!

The Reflections Open House will be held on Wednesday night, January 16th, from 6:30 to 7:30 in the Miller Multi-Purpose Room.  Congratulations to all of our students who participated in the PTSA Reflections Contest.

A reminder that there will be an Informational Open House on Wednesday evening, January 16th, from 6:30-8:00.  This Open House is designed for Parents/Guardians who have preschool age children and would like to learn more about the preschool programs at Placentino.

There will be No School on Friday, January 18th.  It is a Professional Development Day for all Holliston Schools staff.  Monday, January 21st, will be a No School Day in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Preschool and Kindergarten Conference Days are coming on January 24th and 25th.  There is No School for all our preschool and kindergarten students on these two days.

Have a great week!
