Our “Word of the Week” this week is, family. During announcements yesterday I shared with the children that the reason I chose that word is because this is the time of the year when so many of us get together to celebrate the winter holidays with family and friends.
Our thoughts and prayers go to the many families of Newtown whose lives have been forever changed by the tragic events of last Friday. The goal of our staff was to make Monday a “regular” day for our students, and they did. Children arrived to find their teachers waiting in classrooms – smiling and reassuring. Each day I am reminded of how fortunate our Placentino community is to have teachers whose commitment and care for your children is endless.
As we approach this vacation break, Mrs. Stewart and I wish each one of our Placentino families a joyous and peaceful holiday season and a Happy New Year.
