I hope that all of our Placentino families enjoyed the long Thanksgiving weekend. Thank you to everyone who helped our staff prepare for the classroom “feasts” that our students shared in the hallways and in the cafeteria. It doesn’t matter how many “feasts” I’ve participated in throughout the years, the sight of our students sitting together at a table that stretches the length of the hallway or fills the cafteria is always moving and causes me to reflect on how thankful I am for each of the students and members of our staff at Placentino. Thanks to all our families for helping to make our Food Pantry “Turkey Project” such a HUGE success. Placentino students are very proud of the fact that they are such helpful friends to our neighbors at the Holliston Pantry Shelf!
Did you know that Holliston Schools received national recognition at the American Council for the Teaching of Foreign Language Convention which was recently held in Boston? The Woodruff Award nationally recognized our schools for “Exemplary Foreign Language at the Elementary Level.” Superintendent Brad Jackson, our World Language Coordinator Mme Terry Caccavale, and teachers from the foreign language programs attended the Conference and were proud recipients of the award at the evening award ceremony. Congratulations!
Please remember to check our “Lost and Found” box that is located in the Atrium near the elevator. It is quickly filling up with “leftover” jackets, hats, mittens, etc. Any items that are not claimed will be donated to a local charity.
Have a great weekend and good luck to our Holliston High School Panthers Football Team tomorrow at the Super Bowl!
